PRELAUNCH

Rugtective is not live yet. Scanning opens at launch, and nothing on this site takes payment today.

Scanning

Where can I use Rugtective?

At launch, on the web in any browser, as an iPhone app, as an Android app and as a Chrome extension.

What does Rugtective do?

Rugtective reads a token's on-chain state and returns one verdict, AVOID, CAUTION or CLEAR, from on-chain checks. Every check that is live runs on every scan (social history is coming soon), and a scan that cannot finish in time fails with a named reason instead of guessing.

What do the three verdicts mean?

AVOID means at least one check found something that has historically preceded a loss, such as a sell that reverts in simulation, or liquidity the deployer can still pull. CAUTION means something needs your judgment, like an upgradeable contract behind a timelock. CLEAR means no check fired at the block height we scanned.

Does CLEAR mean a token is safe?

No, and we will never say it does. CLEAR describes the state of the contract at one block. Code, liquidity and holders can all change in the next block. A deployer can hold a key offline for a month and act later from a wallet we have no link to. Rugtective tells you what is true now; it cannot tell you what someone will do next.

How long does a scan take?

About two seconds, and three at the outside. We would rather fail a scan by name than return a verdict built on a read that did not finish.

What are the checks?

Honeypot, taxes, mint and freeze, liquidity lock, funding cluster, serial rugger, same hands, holders, market data, social history (coming soon), score card, and oracle disagreements. Tap any check on the home page to see what it reads.

Why do you show it when your own sources disagree?

Because a disagreement is information. When one source says a pool is locked and another does not, hiding that would make the verdict look more certain than it is. You see both, and the reason.

Which chains are supported?

Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain at launch. More chains are coming soon.

What about social history?

Coming soon. It will check whether a project's X username was recycled from an earlier one, and whether those earlier names or contract addresses also rugged. The card appears in the scan marked as such until the data source is settled. We would rather show you nothing than show you something we cannot stand behind.

Plans and billing

What does it cost?

$19.95 a month, or $199 a year. Both renew until you cancel, and you can cancel in one click from your account at any time.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time, in your account, in one click. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing further is charged.

Will you warn me before the annual plan renews?

Yes. Annual subscribers get an email 45 days before each renewal with the date, the amount and a link to cancel. Monthly plans renew every month at the price shown at checkout.

What do you store about my payment?

Our payment processor is Stripe, and your card number never reaches our servers. We keep a Stripe customer ID, your plan status, and a card fingerprint, which is a one-way identifier Stripe gives us so the same card cannot be used to farm free access or to come back after a chargeback. We do not store your card number, expiry date or security code.

Privacy and trust

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Do I have to connect a wallet?

No. Rugtective never connects to your wallet and will never ask for a private key or a seed phrase. Nobody from Rugtective will ever ask you for one.

Is this financial advice?

No. Rugtective is an automated data tool. It never tells you to buy, sell or hold anything, and no output is a recommendation. Every trading decision and every consequence of it is yours.

Who do I contact?

support@rugtective.com for bugs, account and billing. hello@apeaura.com for privacy requests, security reports and anything legal.
