THE SHORT VERSION

Read this before you rely on any verdict. Rugtective is automated software that describes one block in time. It is not advice, not a guarantee, and not an accusation about anyone.

Not advice

It is automated software, not advice

Rugtective reads public blockchain state and runs simulations. It never recommends buying, selling or holding anything. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and we are not your broker, adviser or fiduciary.

One block

It is a snapshot of one block

Every verdict describes the state of a contract at the block height scanned. Code, liquidity, ownership and holder distribution can all change in the next block, seconds later. A deployer can keep a key offline for weeks and act from a wallet that has no visible link to the token.

CLEAR

CLEAR does not mean safe

CLEAR means no automated check fired at that block. It is not a certification, an audit, an endorsement, or a prediction that a token will hold its value.

AVOID

AVOID is a technical grade, not an accusation

AVOID and the other labels are shorthand for measurable criteria applied to public transactions, such as a simulated sell that reverts or post-launch liquidity removal above a threshold. They are not statements about anyone's intent, character or identity.

A developer who believes a criterion misread their contract can send transaction hashes to support@rugtective.com and we will re-index it.

Both ways

It can be wrong in both directions

A check can miss a risk, and a check can fire on a contract that turns out to be fine. We make no claim about how often either happens, and we will not publish an accuracy figure until it has been measured on a verified set.

Total loss

Digital assets can go to zero

Losses in this market are common and total loss is possible. Never commit money you cannot afford to lose. Every decision and every outcome is yours.

Uptime

No guarantee of service

Scans depend on third-party blockchain data providers. The service may be unavailable, delayed, or unable to complete a scan, in which case it reports a named failure rather than a verdict.
